Recent Cases

Client faced a charge of murder and aggravated robbery following a gang-related stand-over. Against fierce Crown opposition, a suitable address was obtained and bail was granted. Following a breach of bail, counsel successfully re-applied for bail and when that decision was appeal by the Crown, the Court of Appeal agreed with the defence position that bail should have been granted.

A Vietnamese national facing serious methamphetamine importation charges had his bail application declined. After instructing Adam as his counsel, that decision was successfully overturned on appeal in the High Court and he was granted bail that allowed him to keep working to support his family.

A client was facing serious violence charges after threatening to kill his wife and children with a machete. After bail was declined twice in the District Court, Adam was instructed as counsel and bail was granted on appeal in the High Court.

The leader of a prominent gang was charged with serious drug-related offending, including manufacture, possession for supply and money laundering. Against strong Crown opposition, bail was obtained and then eventually all curfew conditions were removed prior to trial.
